Membership Vitality Ministry

The Membership Vitality Ministry meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Church Library. Anyone interested in joining this ministry is welcome!

This ministry was created in 2001 to encourage and increase church participation by all members. This ministry contacts inactive members by phone and by letter to determine why they became inactive and to see how the church can minister more effectively to them. This ministry will also follow up on members whose attendance patterns change to prevent them from becoming inactive.

This ministry is responsible for coordinating the pictorial church directory, which includes scheduling the taking of pictures of the church members and families. A project of this magnitude requires the assistance of many volunteers from the congregation, and a special "thank you!" goes to all who help.

On the church anniversary in December, all individuals who have been members for fifty years or more are honored during the service and at the coffee fellowship. The ministry provides rides to members who needed them and flowers to all of these long-term members.

Taxi service to members who have need of rides to our church was offered beginning in 2003, with payment for the service being paid by the ministry budget.
