Administration & Leadership Ministry

Administration & Leadership was created by Session for the care and nurture of our full-time and part-time staff by encouraging the development and full use of the gifts and talents of each individual in a shared ministry with the congregation. A & L provides a forum for forming personnel policy and assisting in the execution of those policies. In addition, A & L arranges for leadership planning and development activities.

A & L meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Koinonia Lounge and all interested members of the church are invited to join us!

Activities that A & L are involved in include:

• Participate in the development of the Long-Range Plan, and assist Session with prioritizing the goals identified in the plan.
• Work with appropriate ministries in reviewing and revising staff position job descriptions as well as conduct searches to fill open staff positions.
• Periodically review church by-laws.
• Communicate to Session the need of monetary support of Lay Pastor Training.
• Support additional staffing needs where required.
• Plan and conduct the Annual Leaders Retreat.
• Support church staff through retention efforts, job description updates and letters of appointment updates.
• Work with appropriate personnel in improving the way the church's money is handled.
• Work with Session on legal issues regarding the church.
